The CDC OR Cuarentena Drawing Club Began as a creative exercise I started on my own to fight creative block, while being stuck at home on COVID’S lockdown.The rule was simple-starting out with random shapes (no over-thinking allowed) and then filling them in with whatever popped into my mind, like this:
After posting it on instagram and getting a very positive response from people wanting to try them out for themselves, It turned into a weekly drawing challenge. Each week for a month I uploaded a template filled with random shapes open to anyone who wanted to interpret them. The point wasn’t coming up with anything fancy, the point was having fun and seeing how everyone had a completely different take on these shapes. It was very difficult choosing among so many cool takes on these shapes, but here are my top 10 favorites:
